Erin and Ben Napier, hosts of HGTV’s Home Town, will be kicking off the AdThrive Summit 2019 as our keynote speakers for this year! When they’re not restoring homes, their passion for small-town revitalization and American craftsmanship is evident in their store, Laurel Mercantile Co., where they design and manufacture heirloom wares and durable goods made exclusively in the United States. They live in Laurel, Mississippi with their infant daughter, Helen.
Fran Hauser is a long-time media executive, startup investor and best-selling author. She's held senior positions at some of the world’s largest digital media businesses, including PEOPLE, InStyle, Entertainment Weekly and AOL. Now a startup investor, Fran was named one of Business Insider's "30 Women In Venture Capital to Watch in 2018." Fran and her book, The Myth of the Nice Girl have been featured on a wide range of outlets including NBC’s Today Show, CNBC, PEOPLE, Fortune, TIME, Fast Company, Oprah.com, Business Insider, Elle, and many more.

Back by popular demand, Bill Hoogterp will be joining us at this year's Summit! Bill gave his first commencement speech while still in his 20s. As he built his career in the nonprofit and online world, he developed a niche: tips and tricks for teaching other people to become great speakers. This system evolved to become Own the Room. He has delivered Own The Room methodology, leadership training, and executive coaching to business executives, celebrities, and athletes on five continents and across numerous sectors.
Joy Cho is the Founder and Creative Director of Oh Joy!, launched in 2005 as a graphic design studio and now a lifestyle brand and design studio that includes various licensed product lines and daily editorial content. Joy has given keynote speeches on entrepreneurship, leadership, and business at many conferences and companies and has consulted for hundreds of small businesses over the years, helping to guide budding entrepreneurs through their growth and struggles. For two years in a row, Joy was named one of Time’s 30 Most Influential People on the Internet and has the most followed account on Pinterest with almost 13 million followers.
Erin Loechner is founder of award-winning blog Design for Mankind and Other Goose, an online homeschooling community for the early years. A bestselling author, she has presented for renowned international events with clients such as Walt Disney World, IKEA, and Martha Stewart with work showcased in The New York Times, Parenting, Huffington Post, and a two-season HGTV.com web special.
On social media he’s known as Hashtag Jeff, but most people just refer to him as “That SEO Guy”. He has spent most of his career working with businesses and corporations to expand their reach through digital marketing and his most recent calling puts the focus on bloggers and publishers. Jeff's Mastermind course helps equip publishers to be SEO experts in regards to their sites, however, he'll be taking things to the next level at the AdThrive Summit so you don't want to miss it!
Matt Molen is the CEO of Personalized Paths. He is the creator of Email on Autopilot, the premier course for content creators that want to transform their email newsletter into their most powerful marketing tools. In addition to the course, Matt provides one-on-one consulting & personal coaching to some of the world’s top bloggers. Personally, Matt enjoys quiet walks on the beach, has a deep rooted fear of frogs, and secretly dreams of replacing Pat Sajak.
Becky Pinnington is Trends Data Curator at Google News Lab. Covering topics from reality TV to elections, she works with European journalists to integrate Google data into their reporting. She aims to empower publishers to use digital tools, especially data, to support and enrich their work. After studying French and German at university, Becky had a brief career as an entertainment reporter, before moving into data journalism and newsroom innovation. She lives in London with her roommate and ten house plants.
Enid Hwang (@enid) has worked in communications at Pinterest since 2011 when she was the sixth employee and first woman hired at the company. As Pinterest has grown to more than 300 million monthly active users around the world, she’s led community-building with Pinners and influencers, policy and user-support, and has helped bring some of Pinners’ top-requested features to life along the way. There’ve been many mistakes and good stories, including how to survive an 8-hour meeting in Japan and what it’s like to share a bathroom with five guys. She lives in Brooklyn and will talk to your pet like it’s a human.
Kevin Kuzas is an attorney who has represented media companies and technology providers for over 20 years. He specializes in intellectual property law and commercial transactions, from small contracts to bet-the-company strategic deals. He is a member of Kuzas Neu, a boutique firm with offices in New York and Virginia. Previously, Kevin was the General Counsel of Comcast Interactive Media (a division of Comcast), and before that a partner in a large firm in Washington, D.C. When not practicing law, Kevin can be found riding his mountain bike, or playing guitar in a garage band.
Jane Friedman has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry. She is the co-founder of The Hot Sheet, the essential publishing industry newsletter for authors, and is the former publisher of Writer’s Digest. In addition to being a columnist with Publishers Weekly and a professor with The Great Courses, Jane maintains an award-winning blog for writers at JaneFriedman.com. Jane's latest book is The Business of Being a Writer (University of Chicago Press).
Shelly is a proud brand ambassador for SEMrush. She’s been working in the industry for 18 years now and has worn many hats, from SEO Director for a large agency to independent SEO consultant and WordPress developer. Shelly runs two boutique agencies — Highly Searched & The Blog Company. In her role as a brand ambassador for SEMrush, Shelly speaks at conferences and workshops all across the U.S. teaching SEO and how to best utilize the SEMrush toolset.
Michael co-founded CafeMedia out of respect and admiration for moms. As CEO, Michael plays a lead role in driving the company's strategy, growth, and overall operations. Prior, Michael was the co-founder and President of Do Something, the premier provider of youth-led leadership and citizenship initiatives in schools, helping more than two million students and 15,000 educators improve young people's leadership skills through meaningful involvement in their communities. Michael graduated from Columbia Law School in 1993, with honors. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and three kids.
Aaron is chief operating officer of Helping-Bloggers-Make-More-Money at AdThrive. He works to keep the experience and performance that is enjoyed by AdThrive publishers at the highest possible quality across all platforms. From the first impression to years of relationship management, he makes sure every AdThrive publisher gets only the best. If you butter him up nicely, he might even throw in some fishing tips too! Aaron lives in Georgia with his wife and 4 kiddos.
Jordan focuses on building relationships with the highest quality publishers in the industry by keeping a publisher-first mentality throughout every interaction. As one of the original AdThrive employees, he has been with AdThrive since 2013. Jordan graduated from Oklahoma State University and lives in Colorado with his wife and daughters (the third is on the way!). He enjoys mountain biking, driving his Jeep, and everything Star Wars or Marvel related.
