AdThrive Release Notes catch you up on the hottest developments over the last month — things that our team’s been working on to help you earn the most money from your ads and keep your business thriving!
Sellers.json is a file that lets us show advertisers the publishers we work with. It provides a way for advertisers to double-check ads.txt (the file that shows which companies sell your ad inventory), answering the question, “When I spend this money, who is getting paid?”
It’s one of three major transparency initiatives in the ad industry and we made some improvements this month to provide greater accuracy for advertisers, helping them confidently spend money on your sites!
Infinite scroll improvements
A little while back, we updated our ad code to support infinite scroll (a site setup where a reader scrolls to the end of the content and new content loads in the same window). Infinite scroll poses some unique challenges for ads, so this month we updated some settings around sticky footer ads and recognizing when new pageviews are generated.
A fix for videos in the Pinterest browser
The newest version of Pinterest on iOS caused some issues with your video players working well when someone visited your page through the Pinterest mobile app. We worked with our video player partner to make some updates so mobile Pinterest users can continue to enjoy your video content!
What is Prebid and why does it matter to publishers? We answered that in a recent blog post! This month, we updated our Prebid integration to the newest stable version, so you’re always running the latest and greatest ad tech.
Around the web
We have some pretty darn smart people working on your ads each and every day. But don’t take our word for it — here are some spotlights from around the industry:
- Our EVP of Strategy, Paul Bannister, chatted about life after cookies with the AdExchanger team at AdExchanger’s Industry Preview. Catch it on their podcast.
- Rachel Parkin, EVP of Sales and Insights, dove into buy-side transparency on the AdExchanger blog.
- Prebid.org publisher members elected a representative to the board — Patrick McCann, who leads our Data Science team!
