This month brought some truly unprecedented changes to everyone’s daily lives, the economy at large, and the digital media and advertising industries. We’re working hard to best-support publishers through it all and share helpful information and resources.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been focusing on improvements to make sure no matter what the financial climate is like, we’re helping you make as much as possible!
Video is an amazing revenue opportunity right now! On the Video page in your AdThrive dashboard, you can now search all of your videos based on titles, descriptions, and tags, and filter by whether or not the video is included in your playlist. We’re super excited about this feature because we know how much it will help you streamline everything related to video!
More video bidders
This month, we added several new video bidders into the mix for the AdThrive video player. While we’re seeing advertiser spending and RPMs decrease for display advertising lately, video RPMs are staying relatively strong so far.
If you’ve been putting off monetizing video content for your site, we’d love to help you get started! And if you’re already running video, make sure you’re running all our latest sticky video player options. Send us a note any time!
New demand for different ad types
We brought in fresh demand for below-post ads, interscrollers, expandable footer ads, and sticky footer ads, to make sure your display ads are set up for further success!
Helping ad partners understand your high-viewability ad slots
Using Marmalade, our in-house artificial intelligence platform, we’re sharing new insights on ad viewability with our ad partners, so they can confidently submit high bids knowing real, human eyeballs will see their ads.
When an ad displays on your site, there’s A LOT of information that’s getting passed back and forth between different servers in the blink of an eye. We’re always looking for ways to streamline this process and this month we were able to further optimize the way these requests take place.
Sticky video player settings
Our ad layouts and video player settings differ depending on your readers’ device — mobile, desktop, or tablet. We fixed an issue where mobile devices that loaded a desktop view caused display issues with the sticky video player.
