In today’s privacy-conscious climate, it’s crucial that your site’s privacy policy includes certain legally-required notices for your ads. So far, we’ve shared these specific privacy policy additions with AdThrive publishers directly whenever there’s a new requirement or best practice to include.
Now, we’re making it easier than ever for you to make sure your privacy policy is automatically up to date with the latest advertising info!
Introducing AdThrive’s Universal Advertising Privacy Policy
With our new Universal Advertising Privacy Policy, we’ll host all the privacy policy wording you need for AdThrive ads on CafeMedia.com (our parent company), explaining how advertising works on your site, how user data is handled, and how your ads are in compliance with data privacy regulations.
You’ll add a simple snippet to the existing privacy policy on your site, with a link to our full Universal Advertising Privacy Policy, which we’ll always keep updated.

It’s as simple as that!
One easy step today to make sure you’re always set up for success
If you don’t have an advertising section in your privacy policy, you can just copy and paste the Advertising Privacy Policy Snippet onto the page, hit publish, and you’re done!
If you already have an AdThrive-provided advertising section in your privacy policy, you’ll just need to replace that with the new Advertising Privacy Policy Snippet.
Leave the rest of your privacy policy in place — any other wording you have that covers other aspects of your site that aren’t related to AdThrive ads.
Once that’s done, the privacy policy on your site is basically future-proof when it comes to new advertising requirements! We can make updates on our end when we bring on new premium partnerships in preparation for a future without third-party cookies or need to include specific information for data privacy regulations.
Linking to your privacy policy
Now that your privacy policy is future-proof, you just need to make it easily accessible. Our partners require that your privacy policy be linked either in the sidebar or footer of your homepage, so it’s found on all pages of your site.
This link must include the term “Privacy” in the anchor text and must be visible at all times (it can’t be within a drop-down menu).
With your privacy policy always linking to current info for your ads, you can relax knowing that your site is ready for anything!
